What We Do

Are you looking for adventure?

Within the Air Training Corps there are so many opportunities and experiences for young people aged 12 to 20.

Our dedicated adult volunteer are in place to offer activities such as: flying, shooting, field-craft, sports and so much more. In addition to this, every cadet will gain valuable experience and skills in communication, teamwork and leadership.

The cadets can also achieve various qualifications through the Air Training Corps including a BTEC in aviation studies, music and public services and also have the opportunities to gain gliding or powered flying scholarships.

In addition there are always a wide range of weekends, or week trips and activities in local, national and worldwide locations including visits to RAF stations in order to gain even more wonderful life skills and experiences that will enhance your future job prospects whether that is in the armed forces or in a civilian career.

Do you want to get involved? Do you want to take on new challenges? Why not come and visit us on our parade nights, see who we are and what we do. You can even follow us on Facebook and keep up to date with what we do in public and on our base.

We always welcome new cadets and adult volunteers, and look forward to welcoming you to our squadron very soon.squadron photo
